CHESTER, Pa.—Villanova had three athletes in competition at the local Widener Invitational on Saturday afternoon, with entries in the 800 meters, the 1500 meters and the hammer at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium. Sophomore middle distance runner Kate Flynn (Gray, Tenn.) recorded a personal best time of 2:24.55 in the 800 meters. Fellow second-year runner Elizabeth Vaughn (Dayton, Ohio) posted a time of 4:48.12 in the 1500 meters and senior thrower Emily Galvin (Pitman, N.J.) finished second in the hammer with a mark of 50.76 meters.
