ELKHART, Ind. – A new personal-best was set by
Perri Stahl on Saturday as the four Villanova swimmers at the National Invitational Championships finished up their time at the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) event at the Beacon Health Aquatic Center on Saturday.
Stahl's new mark came in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:20.28, landing her at 35
th through the prelims. That time beat her previous best set at the BIG EAST Championships just two weeks prior when she touched the wall in 2:20.53.
Brenna McLaughlin tied for 14
th in the 1000 Free finals with a time of 10:22.54. Later on, she turned in a 17:07.96 showing in the 1650 Free that was good enough for 17
th.
In the 200 Back,
Francesca Raimondi logged a 2:06.41, placing her at 47
th in the field after the prelims. That time marked her fourth fastest time in the event this season.
The 100 Free saw
Cara Stapleton touch the wall in 51.91, placing her at 47
th after the preliminary round. She was just over eight-tenths of a second away from matching her personal-best mark for the event set at the WVU Invitational on Nov. 20, 2021.
The four Wildcats teamed up for the 400 Free Relay to close out the event, combining for a 3:30.69 time that landed them in 27
th.
