VILLANOVA, Pa.—In the final home meet of the season on Friday evening, freshman
Richard Nolan (Wilton, Conn.) was a double winner in the 200 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard individual medley as the Villanova men's swimming & diving team (0-3) lost a 161-98 decision to Seton Hall (1-0) at the Villanova Swim Complex. Sophomore
Jake McIntyre (Essex, Vt.) was also a winner for the Wildcats as he finished first in the 1000 yard freestyle. Villanova had five different swimmers finish first or second in at least one of their respective individual events.
Nolan led the way with his wins in the 200 breast (2:06.97) and the 200 IM (1:55.67) to go along with a runner-up finish in the 100 yard breaststroke (58.96). McIntyre won the first individual race of the night when he captured the 1000 free in 9:53.89, while he was also second later in the night in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:47.57 in that competition.
The sophomore duo of
Kevin Geist (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) and
Reid Hutcherson (Richmond, Va.) along with freshman
Ethan Brown (West Hartford, Conn.) each tallied two top-three finishes during the meet. Geist was the runner-up in the 200 yard butterfly in 1:52.92 and came in third in the 100 yard butterfly in 50.92, while Hutcherson notched third place finishes in both the 100 yard freestyle (48.33) and the 200 yard freestyle (1:46.04). Brown was the runner-up in the 200 yard backstroke in 1:53.01 and posted a time of 52.44 in the 100 yard backstroke to notch a third place finish.
Sophomore
Nick Fiddler (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) and senior
Francis Prikasky (Pass Christian, Miss.) each recorded second place finishes during the evening. Fiddler was the runner-up in the 100 fly with a time of 50.83 and Prikasky placed second in the 200 IM in 1:57.41. Rounding out the individual highlights from the meet were third place finishes from sophomore
Ryan Maher (Phoenixville, Pa.) in the 50 yard freestyle (22.20), freshman
Charlie Hinckley (New York, N.Y.) in the 200 back (1:57.83) and senior
Jordan Fetterman (Berkeley, Calif.) in the 200 IM (1:57.99).
The night began with the 200 yard medley relay in which the Wildcats top lineup finished second with a time of 1:35.41. Hinckley led off the race with the backstroke, senior
JJ Strain (Greenwood Village, Colo.) followed him with the breaststroke leg, Fiddler swam the butterfly leg and Fetterman anchored the race with a split of 21.24 on the freestyle leg. A second relay lineup of Brown, Prikasky, Geist and Maher came in fourth in 1:36.51.
Later in the evening the Villanova 'A' lineup of Hutcherson, Strain, Fiddler and Maher came in second in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:14.90. Maher anchored the race with a split of 47.92 on the final leg. The team's 'B' lineup of Brown, freshman

Stephen Griner (Greenville, S.C.) and Hinckley came in fourth in 3:18.37.
