Powell's Point, NC - After 36 holes of the OBX/ODU Intercollegiate, Villanova sits tied for 6th place with a score of even (287+281, 568). The second day of action saw the Wildcats shoot 3-under par as a team.
Freshman
Vimal Alokam led the way for Villanova on day two, shooting 4-under par (67). After shooting even on the back nine, Alokam recorded four birdies, with two coming on each of his last two holes.
Matthew Copeland saw himself continue solid play into the second round, shooting 2-under par (69).
Noah Peck rebounded with a 1-over (72) par on the day, third best on the team.
Peter Weaver shot 2-over par (73), while
Jonathan Elkins finished the day shooting 7-over par (78) for Villanova.
Heading into the final round on Tuesday, Copeland is tied for 10th place at 3-under par (139). Alokam's 1-under places him tied for 20th (141) and Weaver's score of even (172) places him tied for 25th. To round out the lineup, Peck is tied for 65th (150) and Elkins is tied for 73rd (152).
The team will begin play at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, teeing off from the first hole.
