Dear Prospective Wildcat:

Thank you very much for your interest in Villanova University and our cross country and track & field programs. For more than a century, Villanova has made the pursuit of excellence possible for thousands of student-athletes. In fact, our first track Olympian dates back to 1908, and we've had a Wildcat in every summer Olympics Games since 1948. The men's and women's track & field/cross country student-athletes have combined to win 17 national championships while producing 116 individual national champions and more than 700 All-Americans. Villanova has also won a combined 57 BIG EAST titles and had well over 500 individual conference champions.

Part of what has made this tradition of excellence possible is the individualized attention that each athlete receives, consequently developing at his or her own pace. Care is also paid to the possibility that many of our student-athletes will continue on in sport as Olympians and professionals following graduation. Over the years, 47 Wildcats have represented their countries at the Olympics and many are likely to do so in the future. Our coaching staff and alumni network provide a strong and experienced support system for this kind of personal growth.

Likewise in the classroom, you are not one of the crowd. Villanova boasts a 13:1 student-teacher ratio. This kind of quality education has earned Villanova a ranking of the No. 1 Regional University by US News and World Report for 15 straight years. Our women's track team has produced two Rhodes Scholars and the men's track team has had two student-athletes be named Fulbright Scholars.

We've enjoyed a lot of success here at Villanova, as measured by every category of achievement that exists for collegiate student-athletes. From world records to NCAA team and individual titles, from Academic All-Americans to Rhodes Scholars, all of these honors have been earned by Wildcats and could happen for you too. If you're interested in learning more about us and our tradition of personal excellence, please contact our coaching staff.
