March 31, 2018 Complete Villanova Results
RALEIGH, N.C.--Junior distance runner Nicole Hutchinson (West Vancouver, B.C.) ran one of the fastest 5000 meter races in school history in her very first collegiate 5K race at the Raleigh Relays on Friday night. Hutchinson recorded a time of 15:46.22 and crossed the finish line just over three seconds ahead of the runner-up from meet host North Carolina State. Her time is the fifth-fastest by a Wildcats runner in a race held during the collegiate season, and she is the first Villanova athlete in nearly six years to break 16 minutes in the 5000 meters.
Also on the docket for the Wildcats in North Carolina was the 10,000 meters later on Friday evening. Junior Bella Burda (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) competed in her third collegiate 10K race and finished seventh overall with a time of 34:19.67. The third-year runner and Villanova cross country standout is ranked fourth on the program's all-time performance list in the 10,000 meters and was an NCAA East Preliminary qualifier as a sophomore last season.

Sophomore McKenna Keegan (West Grove, Pa.) had one of the team's top performances of the day with a personal best time of 2:06.20 in the 800 meters, lowering by more than a second the mark she had set during the indoor season which just ended. Sixth-year senior Kelsey Margey (Huntington, N.Y.) posted a time of 2:06.46 in the same section as Keegan, while freshman Rachel McArthur (Bristow, Va.) ran in the fastest section and crossed the finish line in 2:08.17.
