With one match remaining in the fall 2000 season, the Villanova women's tennis will enter that match with a perfect record of 6-0. The Wildcats recorded their sixth win today, against the visiting Marauders of Millersville University. Both teams came into the match with a perfect record, but the `Cats walked away with the 5-4 victory.

Jessie Rybacki and Kelly McAndrew each boast individual records of 5-1 - and they're only freshmen. Rybacki took her fourth singles match 6-2 and 6-0 from the `Ville's Laura Halter, McAndrew defeated Hilary Cornelius for the win with scores of 7-5 and 6-1 at fifth singles. Flaunting a perfect record at the number three singles post this fall is junior Ashley Young. In the match against the Marauders, Young dropped the second set of her competition 5-7 but cushioned it with a pair of 6-1 sets to pull away for the win.

Getting the sole doubles win for Villanova on the afternoon was the number three team of Anne Morgan and Jennifer Zick, as they defeated their opponents 8-4.

The Wildcats play their final match of the fall season on Friday, October 6th at St. John's. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
