The Villanova women's tennis team defeated the Hawks of St. Joe's for the third win of their fall season on Wednesday, September 23, 1999. The Wildcats, with the 5-2 victory, move to 3-1 on the year.

Five of the six singles positions posted wins for the 'Cats. Megan Lacroix, a sophomore out of Columbus, Ohio, won a three-set decision over the Hawks' Lydia Thomas with a score of 7-5, 4-6 and 6-0.

The lone win for Villanova in the doubles match-ups came from the pairing of Katie Cooper and Sara Fabrizio who defeated Jill Simodejka and Tara Matteo 8-6 at third doubles.

The Wildcats resume play on Thursday, September 30th when they travel to take on Lafayette College at 3:00p.m.
