Wildcats Finish Ninth At Big East Championships

On Saturday, April 24, the Villanova men's tennis team wrapped up their winning season with a 4-2 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas at the BIG EAST Championships which took plach at the University of Miami, Florida. The Wildcats captured ninth place with the win in the consolation bracket.

After dropping a match at first doubles, the Wildcats rebounded by posting wins at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. In singles action for Villanova, seniors Stephen Smith and Paul Moore won at second and third singles, respectively, while Josh Schofield took his No. 5 singles match against the Hoyas' Justin Hom 6-1, 6-0.
