Villanova, Pa.--- Hosting Lehigh University on Wednesday, Oct. 6, the Villanova University women's tennis team dominated the Mountain Hawks, defeating them by the score of 7-2. With the victory, the Wildcats improve to an impressive 6-2 overall on the season.

Villanova won four of the six singles matches in a sunny, cool afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Courts on the University's West Campus. Ashley Young, Jen Zick, Stephane Ariot and Liz Farrell were all winners in singles action. Young defeated Lehigh's Erica Feinman, 6-1, 6-3, in No. 2 singles. Zick won in straight sets over Julie Moscow (6-1, 6-1) in No. 4 singles, as did Ariot in the No. 5 slot over Rachel Masow (6-1, 6-2). Playing in the No. 6 position, Farrell defeated Andrea Scott 6-3 and 6-4.

Villanova won each of the three doubles matches on the afternoon. Julie Darne andYoung won 9-8 in the No. 1 spot. Megan Lacroix and Farrell defeated their Mountain Hawk opponents 8-6, in No. 2, while Ariot and Ann Morgan won 8-4 in No. 3 doubles.

The Wildcats will get back into action on Friday, Oct. 8, as they host St. John's at 3:00 p.m.
