Traveling to Millersville, Pa., on Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Villanova University women's tennis team was defeated by the of Millersville by the narrowest of margins, 5-4. With the loss, the Wildcats' record drops to 5-2 overall on the season.

Villanova and Millersville split the day's six singles matches. Winners for the Wildcats included Julie Darne at No. 1, Meghan Lacroix at No. 3, and Jen Zick at No. 4. The Marauders took two of the three doubles matches, however, giving them the slim edge they needed for a 5-4 win. Villanova's lone doubles win came by way of Stephane Ariot and Ann Morgan, who were victorious in the No. 3 slot.

The Wildcats will resume play on Wednesday, Oct. 6, hosting Lehigh at 3:00 p.m.
